Sneak Peek for Sheep Gully Road
Gus and Kate:
‘He wove his way down the rough path he’d forged when he’d moved here, embracing the smell of the incoming tide that rolled in below with relentless form, ensuring no mercy was given to the rocks that held back the expansive cliff. The whitewash tumbled and tossed the incoming seaweed and a sandfly stung the gnarled skin on his arm as he stepped onto the clean sand, kicking his thongs to the side with a smooth flick. He slapped at the bug—not missing the fact it didn’t sting like it should have thanks to the scars he wore—keen to get down amongst the action now more than ever. This part of the beach was his own, a place where no one intruded to interrupt his solitude.’
‘She stood, fascinated, as he sat for a moment, the puzzled expression he’d carried with him the moment she’d thrust the coffee upon him still lingering on his face before he took a slow sip of his drink. He raised his eyebrows, the crinkle at the side of his eyes softening as he removed the cap, staring inside at the liquid as if it should have bitten him before he licked his lips. His mouth lifted with the gentlest of smiles.’
Sneak Peek for The Lonely Paddock
Ross and Flick:
Ross stood behind the counter and forgot himself as he watched her cheeks beam, her dancing freckles messing with his heart.
Her brows lifted a little further as she caught sight of grey eyes, deep and focused, and she was all too aware her face reflected the shade of her strawberry hair. A neat, short haircut gave this six-foot-plus man—who was watching her with an intense stare—a structured, organised look, something so different to her.

Ross Harrington
Ross is a professional country vet through and through, because he has to be. Without that as his focus, he would never believe he could be loved by his family, or anyone. Ever. The risk of loving others is too high thanks to a traumatic childhood accident that he blames himself for.
In an attempt to prove he is worthy, he takes up the game of polocrosse. But his protective nature and love of animals lands him in the hot seat. Little does Ross know, there’s more than a competitive rivalry at stake.

Flick Parker
Flick has wayward curls and far too many freckles in her opinion. She is a happy, loyal and loving girl who thrives on giving her time and smile to anyone. She is highly talented in her artistic abilities but as a consequence, is often running late for work, although her endearing nature wins over anyone she’s around. She loves volunteering to work with terminally ill children, a cause close to her heart thanks to her unwell sister.
Flick owns an outrageous chocolate springer spaniel that doesn’t know the meaning of discipline (a fact she’s reluctant to blame on herself) and he manages to get himself into all sorts of trouble, regularly.
