Chocolate Fudge Brownie
If your family loves chocolate and peanut butter, then they’ll be fending one another off to get to one or three of these! They are totally morish and completely decadent, especially if you use dark chocolate. I’ve used milk chocolate also and they are also truly delicious.
INGREDIENTS:
120g Butter
300g Dark Chocolate (or more if you think important)
6 Eggs
1 cup Caster Sugar
1 cup Brown Sugar (firmly packed)
1 teaspoon Vanilla Paste (I have used extract also)
1 cup Plain Flour
1 teaspoon Granulated Coffee (more if you’d like)
Pinch of Salt
½ teaspoon Baking Powder
¼ cup Cocoa Powder
½ cup Milk Chocolate Buttons
METHOD:
1. Melt Butter and Chocolate (gently in microwave-because it’s quick).
2. Whisk Eggs, Caster Sugar and Brown Sugar together, and add vanilla paste.
3. Gradually mix in chocolate butter mixture to this with a wooden spoon.
4. Add Flour, Coffee, Salt, Baking Powder. Cocoa powder and Choc Buttons and stir.
5. Pour into a 30cm x 30cm tin lined with grease proof paper and cook at 170 degrees Celsius for 30 – 40 minutes. Remove from oven when the sides are becoming firm but there is still a wobble in the centre. Leave to cool completely in tin. I have been known remove it sooner as it’s so darn irresistible, and fudgy and soft and gooey. Need I go on?
6. Enjoy! It’s a guaranteed winner.
